As well as the Year 11 revision sessions in the half term (the timetable of sessions can be found on our website) we also have the ProExcel choreographers in to work with the students who will be performing at the Rugby Union Opening games at Wembley in April.
Thank you to the Student Council who spent their break time on Tuesday meeting with designers from McAlpine to look at the colours of the student toilets for the new school. They put a lot of thought into the process and I am sure their chosen colours will look great. Watch this space…..
We have a busy start to the term beginning with a production dealing with the issues of sexting by Hampshire Police. This will be on Monday 27th February and is for our Years 9 and 10.
On Wednesday 1st March the Rock Challenge team will be performing their showcase in Portsmouth and we would like to wish them all the best. You can find out more about their performance, and see photos from a rehearsal, in the Newsletter.
On Thursday 2nd March we are celebrating World Book Day. It will be a mufti day for all students. The day is taking elements from the book ‘Hunger Games’ and will introduce students to the idea of dystopian fiction. Students will be able to wear non uniform based on their House colours in exchange for £1 for their House charity. Year 11 students should use the House colour they had when they were in Year 10. Each of the House colours will represent a ‘district’ as per the ‘Hunger Games’. There will be a number of activities in the run up to and on World Book Day.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a relaxing half term.
