More and more we are using email as a form of communication between home and school and students and parents tells us this is a really effective way of staying in touch. If you think you haven’t given us your email address you can do so by emailing or calling on 01983 567 331.

You may remember we wrote about Lucas in Year 8 in the Newsletter earlier this month after he won Wight in Bloom. Ryde Town Council have just contacted us to say he has also won Ryde in Bloom. He was awarded
the ‘Young Persons, 14 Years and Under’ category and the ‘John Warner Cup award for Outstanding Youth Contribution to the ‘In Bloom’ ethos’. He also made all of the Town Council  staff the most stunning button holes, one of which you can see Councillor Karen Lucioni wearing in the photo of Lucas with herself and the Mayor. Grace, from the Council said ‘Lucas was incredibly polite and thankful, and it was an absolute pleasure to have him present at the awards evening’

I love it when people contact us to give feedback about our students. We recently had an email from the Local Safeguarding Children's Board after some of our students attended their safeguarding conference. You can read more about it in the next Newsletter but they said ‘I am emailing to say how wonderful it was to have your students at our Annual Safeguarding Conference last week. They were absolutely charming. It was a pleasure to have them take part in our conference’.

We are already proud of them but it’s lovely to hear others think the same.

Congratulations to this week’s Principal star Casey Harmsworth (Year 11) Casey has been staying behind after school regularly to do art catch up work. She has shown resilience, perseverance and aspiration in her character. She has worked with focus and determination in order to
make progress and aim for a better grade at GCSE.

I hope you have a relaxing and enjoyable half term.
