Welcome back and I hope everyone had a relaxing break.

Although it has been a difficult week for all involved in the Academy, I have been proud of the response from staff and students and I would like to thank all of you for your ongoing support.

Well done to all the students who came in for the Wembley dance rehearsal for four days over the half term. Miss Seaton said they worked incredibly hard. It was also fantastic to see lots of students in for the GCSE revision sessions we held over half term. These sessions can make all the difference.

The Rock Challenge team were at Portsmouth Guildhall on Wednesday performing their showcase. The feedback I have had is that they were brilliant and are ready for the final in April. You can see images from the day in the Newsletter.

World Book Day was a great success. Thank you to everyone who helped organise it. The students had great fun and again raised some significant funds for their House charities.

Our next Parents’ evening is for Year 10s and is on Thursday 9th March.

Have a lovely weekend.

Joy
