On Wednesday 11 November Year 12 students went to Portsmouth University as one of the early steps in helping them to think about their future career plans. At the university, Portsmouth student ambassadors explained about their university experiences and we took part in an activity linked to student finance and budgeting. Students were encouraged to think about day to day living costs and how to manage their money carefully.
In the afternoon students attended an Introduction to Criminology lecture and were given advice about the application process. It was a really interesting day and we are pleased to see students have already started looking at university open days and gathering more information on specific degree courses. Chichester university will be visiting us in the new year to help prepare for the UCAS convention.
