Our Student Council Eco-Warriors have been auditing departments to check that they are doing their bit for the environment by switching off electrical devices when they are not being used. Each department started off with 100 points which are deducted for every electrical device left on and unused.

Well Done PE!

As you know, our Student Council Eco-Warriors had been auditing departments to check that they were doing their bit for the environment by switching off electrical devices when they were not being used.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Eco-Warrior spot checks over the last term, and for those who made a conscious effort to switch off their laptops etc in an attempt to be the greenest department in the Academy in terms of electricity usage. Each department (or combination of departments) started with 100 points and lost 5 points for each item they had switched on and unmanned during the spot checks.

The final checks have now been completed by the School Council Eco-Warriors and the results are in....................

1st place PE with 95 points (you did not lose a point on the last two spot checks.....well done!)
Joint 2nd place were Humanities and Languages with 85 points
Joint 3rd place was Maths and Performing Arts with 80 points
