September 2015 marked the start of an exciting time for Ryde Academy when ‘Head of the Year’ Joy Ballard joined as the Principal. 

Across the first year, GCSE attainment increased from 37% to 54%. Ofsted recognised these massive improvements when they rated the academy as ‘Good’ in November 2016.

Support Staff Vacancies

We have the following support staff vacancy: 

Inclusion Support Worker 

37 hrs per week.

8am – 4pm Term time only

Actual Salary £15,949

We are seeking an Inclusion Support Worker with a strong commitment to learning, to support our Academy and students’ in using appropriate administrating, and supervising sanctions such as detentions in school.

You will need to be a highly motivated team player who is firm but fair, and have the ability to relate well to young people.

You should have good computer/keyboard skills and be a good organiser with strong administration skills and able to work in a busy school environment. Training will be made available for the right applicant.

Working at Ryde Academy 

The Isle of Wight is located between Portsmouth and Southampton and is separated from the mainland by the Solent. The Island is an average of between two to four miles from the mainland and is easily accessible by regular travel links from Portsmouth Southampton and Lymington.
